Advantages and Disadvantages of The Telephone
Telephone' is a very popular and effective means of
communication. Nowadays a person from any corner of the world can talk to
another person of anywhere using the telephone. So, it has made the world
narrower. The invention of telephone has made it easier for people to keep in
touch with other people who live far away from them. They need not visit
personally which would be costly and much time consuming. So it has saved
people's time and money. It also does a great help during emergencies. For
example, using it we can quickly call the fire engine in case of fire.
Similarly, if we have a telephone, we can be informed rather easily than any
other means. In this way it has many more advantages.
In
spite of being so useful means of communication, it has some disadvantages as
well. Sometimes the bluff-calls annoy us. The ringing of the phone can disturb
us during the midnight. Some bad people can trick or deceive us by changing the
voice. we may also suffer from teasing or vulgar threatening. To conclude,
telephone is inevitable in this 21st century. So, we should try and take maximum benefits
from it and discourage its misuses.
